VFW Texas Supports Partnership with Cresco Labs Texas, LLC

Dear Fellow Texas VFW Comrades,

As a Marine wounded on the battlefield, a Purple Heart recipient, and a proud Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4709, I understand firsthand the toll that service can take on body and mind. That’s why I fully support the partnership between our local VFW posts and Cresco Labs Texas, LLC, to expand access to the state’s low-THC medical cannabis program. 

Beginning September 1, 2025, thanks to House Bill 46, more veterans and their families will have an option for safe, effective care—and our VFW posts will be stronger for it.

Cresco Labs Texas (CLTX) is seeking licensure as a dispensing organization under the Texas Compassionate Use Program and is permitted to partner with businesses and organizations (like the VFW), approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety, to establish partner-pickup locations. These locations allow registered medical cannabis patients to receive their low-THC prescriptions safely and conveniently.

Why Your Post Should Consider Partnering:

• Enhanced Access to Care: Provide veterans in your community with safe, convenient access to low-THC medical cannabis, supporting their health and wellness.

• Revenue Opportunities for Your Post: Receive compensation for serving as an approved partner-pickup location, helping fund post operations and community programs.

The Texas VFW supports this partnership for posts that decide to participate. CLTX will work closely with VFW posts and the DPS to ensure compliance with all state and local laws before any patient pickups are scheduled.
